Christ is my life. Before Christ I was nothing and there was no meaning in all that I did. Now, with Him there is beauty in all things - but the most beautiful thing of all is Christ Himself. How I ever lived without Him as my guide, my friend, and my all in all, I cannot even begin to fathom. It is as if I am surrounded by love - a strong and steady shield that surrounds my soul with beauty and warmth. I can turn to Him at anytime and He is there. If I feel myself beginning to fall or stumble, all I need to do is think of His Name and He is there. He is my love, for only by His love am I able to love.
The world, and the things of this world, are so cold and empty in the light of His presence. Yet all things were made by Him. It was sin that brought about the hatred and sorrow that we find all about us - how my heart aches for the lost and empty souls that fill this world with their lust and greed. The things that man does to man is beyond comprehension and stands as a testimony to the presence of evil. That innocence and purity are the target of this darkness shows with certainty that it is the workings of Satan.
How easily we are deceived into thinking that we are the exception - that by some mysterious way we will not be affected by the death that lies before us. There is a way, and only one way, that we can avoid this path of destruction - and that way is Jesus Christ. The Bible, God's living Word, shows us the Way - but we must take it to heart. Only in the Word of God can we find Truth - for all else is a lie. The sense of security that we find in the world around us is a lie of Satan that is evidenced by the fact that we never seem to have enough. Only Christ can bring us to the place where we never thirst for more. Only Christ can fill us with the love that will bring peace - a deep peace - an everlasting peace.
